Recurring Fever with Flu like symptoms

My 15 month old baby has been sick for over 8 weeks now. We have been to 3 doctors, and she was admitted to hospital with bronchiolitis on 1 May. She''s had 3 courses of antibiotics. Her symptoms included high fever (40 degrees), a runny nose, listlessness, loss of appetite, vomiting and a terrible cough. She was vastly improved after leaving hospital just over 2 weeks ago, and has been eating well since then. Today however, she has again developed a high fever and a snotty nose. She was tested for TB in hospital (negative). I really don''t know what to do or what could be casuing this incessant recurring illness. I don''t want to do damage to her little body by over-medicating. Could allergies be a problem?

You have certainly had a very worrying time with your baby over the past 8 weeks. Her illness is not due to an allergy. She must have an unusual illness as none of the tests have come back positive.Have you been to a malarial area or visited a farm? She needs to be seen by a paediatrician with a special interest in children with infectious diseases.Let me know in which area or province you live and I will try to recommend an expert to see your baby.
