Hi there. Thx for the response. We went to the doc yesterday, and according to him he had to stitch the gauze to where the tonsils came out as it wouldn''''t stop bleeding. He said that it was dissolvable and that he would swallow it. He apologised for not informing us.Now I don''''t know whether to believe him or not, or if he is covering his tracks. Do u perhaps know if this would be true. I am still worried. This was at a private hosptial.

I think that you mentioned the gauze was about 12cm long. This seems to be too long to be expected to dissolve. I hope that you kept the gauze and also have taken a photo of it as you may need this if a dispute arises. Your son could have choked on this gauze and it is a serious problem if it is not a dissolving gauze. You will have to take it up with the hospital.
