Re Mumps

HI Doc,

My son is feeling much better each day, and I am keeping him at home. He did have his MMR vacs at 15 months and is up-date-with all his vacs at this age (3yrs 10mths). The swelling was hardly noticeable again this morning.

I also did receive immunisation when I was young, but did not have mumps at all. I hope I donot get the virus in any case
Many thanks for your response.

You are welcome. Thanks for replying to my questions. You should be immune to getting mumps if you had the MMR as a child.Your son's mumps is probably so mild because of the MMR he was given at 15 months.I hope that all goes well with your pregnancy. I feel more confident following the information you have given here as well as the fact that you have probably now passed the really critical period.
