RE: Joints

When I fetched my son from school at lunchtime, his teacher said he complained of a sore knee the whole day. It seems the leg is not sore when sitting but only on weight bearing or stairs. The other thing I noticed is that his eyes are quite red. He does NOT have a fever or seem ill at all.

You do not mention if your son's knee appears to be swollen or is red or is warmer than usual. A single painful joint can occur as a result of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatic fever or an infected (septic)arthritis among other causes. Your son must be seen by a doctor.
