Re: flu

Dear Doc

I wrote to you yesterday regarding my suspicion that my 5 year old has flu, which you confirmed was the most likely case.

By last night he had no fever and the pain in his legs and headache was better. However he still complains of pain around his belly button and keeps holding his tummy with one hand - even when playing. He did eat a little today, but certainly not near normal.

Other than the sore tummy, he seems ok. He still has no runny tummy or constipation or vomiting.. He said it does not hurt or burn to wee.

Can this just be still part of the toxins? The cramping seems quite strong. He says it sore all the time and then it gets very sore for a few seconds.

Do you think I should take him to be seen or just give it another 24hours?

See my answer above. It would be best to ask your doctor to see him today. Your son is very specific about where he has this pain.
