Re: Concerned about 20 month old son

Dear Prof

All the results of the pituitary screening are in and his IGF-I is decreased (less than 22 ng/ml) with normal GH. We are relieved and extremely worried at the same time. Our paed is awaiting a response from Dr Michelle Carrihill. I could only get an appointment with Dr Vermeulen on 14 Dec, but guess we''ll be going to Red Cross now.

If it wasn''t for you this might never have been detected! Thank you so much!!

You know that you are always very welcome. Thank you once again for your feedback. Your son will be in good hands at Red Cross Hospital. There is also an excellent paediatric endocrinologist at the Tygerberg Children's Hospital: Dr Ekkehard Zollner.
