Re: Baby ate Toilet Duck Gel

Thanx Doc

I took him for a check-over as he was becoming chesty early last night. The doc couldn' t find anything of concern, so I guess he' s ok. He became more chesty throughout the night though, so I' m still a bit concerned. But it might be a cold that manifested at the same time? Would he get a temperature if the gel affected his lungs?
These are the ingredients - I just found it:
Sodium Laureth Sulfate
White Mineral Oil
Acid Blue #9

The main concern is still that he has developed some corrosive damage to his oesphagus and possibly his trachea. His chestiness may be due to inhaling a tiny portion of the gel causing damage to his trachea. He must be carefully watched by a paediatrician over the next few days and if necessary referred to an ENT surgeon or gastroenterologist to exclude any damage to his airway and oesophagus.I remain most concerned about your son. He requires careful watching.
