Q.

Ratio for Goat Milk - Baby 11 months

Do you have a ratio for Alpi Goats Milk for 11 month baby. Doc recommended I put her onto Goats mIlk due to its hypo allergenic qualitities. Ratio on tin is 130ml water 5 scoops powder. This is to strong, she cannot digest it and then makes her vomit. Do you also have a ratio for fresh goats milk.

Goats milk is not a good choice for children allergic to cow's milk. The composition of goats milk is very similar to cow's milk and in addition it tends to be very rich and causes the feeding difficulties you mention here. Goats milk is also deficient in folic acid. Rather use a hypoallergenic milk such as NAN HA2 or Novalac HA2.

My baby couldn't drink NAN HA2 or Novalac HA2 - he is also allergic to milk proteien. He has been on ALPI goatsmilk since 6 months, whithout problems! He is healthy and is now 1,5 months old. I think your scoop is the problem. I will check tonight, but I think I am using 6 3ml scoops for 220 ml water. You can buy it fresh from selected Woollies stores.

My little boy went on to goats milk when he was 14 months old. I just bought the fresh goats milk from Woolies. He loves it. I have recently put him back on cow's milk, but he became soo constipated, I put him back on goat's and the cramps and winds were gone within a day. He still has cows milk in his yogurt and cheese as long as he doesn't have to much. good luck
