Q.

Rash

My 2yr old has had a very bad rash for the past two weeks now already, i''ve triend bepanthen, nystacid even Maizena, nothing seems to work. He''s still wearing the same nappies, have not changed brand, so i really dont know what further to do. Do i take to doc to get antibiotic??? The creche said i should bring his own potty to creche, could it be this too??

Your son's nappies must be changed as frequently as needed. It would be worthwhile changing to another brand of nappy. Apply Mylocort cream [not the ointment] to his nappy rash twice a day until his rash clears up. If it is not better after 5 days he should be seen by a paediatrician or clinic nurse.
