Hi Doctor, please could you assist: My little girl (4) has a rash just on her cheeks. It started about over 1 month ago, I have been bathing her with Epizone E and using Epimax as a moisturiser however it is no clearing up, one side looks worse than the other. It looks like she has little pimples spread all over her cheeks and some of them have white heads. Could it be Eczema? Please advise if I should continue with what I''m using or rather take her to the Dr. Thank you

You are welcome. Your daughter is unlikely to suddenly develop eczema on her cheeks at her age. Her rash may be due to an infection of the skin which is known as impetigo.if it is impetigo she will need an antibiotic. The rash has also not responded to the usual mild treatments for eczema.Another possibility is a virus infection of the skin called molluscum. It would be best to ask either your paediatrician or a dermatologist to see your daughter.
