Q.

Rash

Hello Prof
Please can you offer me some advise. My almost 2yr son has developed a rash on his testicles and I have no idea whether this is a nappy rash, heat rash or other. The rash is red and pimply and it is only on the testicles. His bottom is clear. He has never had a nappy rash in all his life so I am not experienced with this. He does not seem to complain although he is very sensitive to be touched at nappy changes etc. Detests having his privates and bottom wiped or washed.
Are there any conditions that I should be concerned about that would cause a rash on the testicles or should I wait it out.
I am using Bepanthenan on the rash as well as his bottom.
Thank you in advance for your advise.

It is always difficult to comment on a rash without being able to examine your child. This may simply be a form of nappy rash. Try Antipeol nappy cream and see if this helps. If it does not there is another possibility and that is a candida rash. This will respond to Nystatin cream and it will help to give your son a probiotic daily for at least 10 days as well.
