Q.

Rash - 2 year old

Hi!

My daughter is 2 and a half years old and for about the last 2 months or so she keeps on getting a rash on her bum cheeks. Red and almost like small pimples, I apply sudocrem for about days then goes away but comes back a week or so later. She is nearly potty trained so uses panties during the day and only nappy at night. What could be the cause? I have tried to pinpoint the problem but just cant see whats causing it.

Thank you!

This sounds like a contact rash possibly from her panties which may not be cotton.Only let her wear cotton panties. Apply Mylocort ointment once daily to her bum to clear the rash. Wash her panties using only a mild detergent.
