Q.

Random Rash

Hi. My son is 3 and a half years old and tends to get a rash on his abdomen and back at varying intervals. At times it is totally gone and then a few days later it comes back, he isnt itchy and eats normally and there is no fever present. He was on soy milk for many years and has been on cows milk for a few months, could this be causing it? My doctor said that since it isnt affecting him I shouldnt worry, he sometimes complains of a stomache ache. I am just a bit worried it could be something internal? Do you have any advice? Kindest regards Sam

This is most likely to be a sweat rash. His lack of other symptoms especially itching suggests this is the probable diagnosis. This is a very common rash. Treatment is not usually necessary.Your son should only wear cotton clothing.
