Puffiness under eyes

Dear Doc, my son (aged 5) is showing some red/blue puffiness under both his eyes. He does not seem ill &  he' s not complaining of anything. He has however lost his appetite " somewhat"  &  but will eat when he' s hungry (hope this makes sense?). He also seems stressed about preschool - could stress be the cause of the puffiness or could there be another reason for the puffiness? He had his paed check up 3months ago &  he got a nice clean bill of health &  development.

Paediatrician

Puffineess under the eyes especially when accompanied by a bluish colour is often due to allergies. Puffiness of the eyelids may also indicate kidney disease in a young child. It is more likely to be due to an allergic cause, but I would be happier if you asked your paediatrician to see your son again.
