Q.

Pubic area

Dear Doc,
My 11 year old daughter has pimples on her pubic area.
It has been there for 2 days now and she says it''s itching.
What could be the cause of this..she just started with her menstrual periods, about three days ago for the first time. Should I take her to the doctor or get something over the counter?
Thank you Doc

It is difficult to be sure about thes pimples without being able to see your daughter. There are certain conditions such as pubic lice or infection of the hair roots which need to be excluded if she is complaining about itching so please take her to see a doctor.

Could be an allergy from the sanitary pads she is using?
