Prem twins and their eyes

Hi there. Sister had prem twins (6 weeks prem). Weighed under 2kg when born, jaundice, but going strong and picking up weight. They are now 4 weeks old. We are a bit worried as both twins don' t look at you, but mostly roll their eyes from side to side. Both grandma' s picked up on this and are a bit worried. Can this be because they were prem?

Babies usually only start really looking at their mother at around 6 weeks of age. This is called 'fixing' Your sister's babies are 4 weeks old but they were 6 weeks premature. They may simly take longer to start 'fixing' If they are not looking at their mother by 10 weeks they must be assessed by their paediatrician.

Babys dont see until they are about 4/6 weeks(stand to be corrected). Maybe ask their DR.
