Prelone is a cortisone medicine that is short-acting and safe to use in children. It is safe to repeat this medicine after a 3 week break. Your son cannot have the vaccination while he is on Prelone and while he is still chesty. It does not matter if you have to postpone the vaccination until he is well again.
