Q.

Prelone

Can I give Prelone for severe blocked nose and what is the dosage for a 2 year old?
I have tried saline drops, ilaidin, humidifyer, flusin, demazin, vicks. Nothing is clearing my two year olds nose and the cough is getting bad.

Yes you can use a short course of Prelone for 5 days. The dose is usually 5ml once daily. Also use Salex nose drops twice a day to clear his nose well.

I wouldn' t give Prelone because it is a steriod. Rather take your little one to the GP, where he can prescribe an antibiotic. I usually receive Ranclav or Zaloxy. Both work.

Just my view
