Q.

Potty training

Hi doc.
Started potty training my son (3 years old) three weeks ago. No problems with nr 1 during the day and even at night no bedwetting. Only problem is that he does not want to make nr 2 in the toilet. Pls help. I''ve tried the " no nappy"  but then he just gets constipated keeping it in. He is not scared of the toilet, but i think it might be because he is a very active child and does not want to sit in one place for a long time and doesnt want to concentrate. Your advice would be appreciated.

This is probably the most common problem parents have when trying to potty train their children.Little boys are often a bit slower to get things right with potty training than little girls. So a lot of patience is usually needed. Try a star chart reward system and see if this makes a difference. Give him lots of praise when he is successful.
