Post Nasal Drip

Hello Prof, hope you are well.
MY 3year 4 month old little girl since December has got this horrible post nasal drip where she even makes that horrible half sniff half cough sound to try and get rid of it. She coughs in the morning to get the mucous out which has all settled due to lying down. She has got it every month since December and twice i have taken her to the paed as the cough got a little worse and i was afraid of it going to her chest but she said each time her chest is clear and all th mucous is in the throat and she gave me Sterimar (which i clear the mucous with every morning and evening anyway as my daughter blows very well), besinol-n and illiadin. This worked very well but then a week later it start nasal drip back again.
What do you suggest as i am not comfy with using besinol-n again. I am also afraid of it going down to her chest though. When she blows it is clear.

It sounds as if your daughter has an allergic problem. Her post nasal drip is probably due to nasal allergy. This is called allergic rhinitis. Your daughter should have allergy tests done and she should be put on the correct treatment for allergic rhinitis. BetnesolN and Iliadin are not the correct treatment.
