Question 889 reviewed...Your baby appears to be doing well in spite of his solid food refusal. As you say, he is gaining weight and growing normally. His formula remains the most important source of nutrition for your baby at the age of 6 months. At 750ml per day it appears that he is not taking enough fluid per day. He needs 140ml for every kg he weighs per day. Some babies like their food to be very finely pureed before they will eat. Try and find a cereal that he likes and then slowly add fruit and vegetables to his diet, concentrating on his formula as his main food. Then slowly move across to introducing other foods. Many babies only start on solids at 6 months, so you are not really going backwards.
