Q.

Poor eating habits

Dear Doc

I have a 6yr old son that goes to school and then to aftercare. I am concerned as he does not eat much during the day. He eats his fruits and a few snacks but in terms of carbohydrates, almost the entire lunch that I send comes back home. He is underweight for his age and I would like to know if there is a supplement or a drink that I can give him to supplement his food intake for the day.
Regards
Van

This is very common in children of your son's age. He is probably too busy playing and enjoying himself during the school break to remember that you have sent his lunch with him.If his appetite is poor all the time you can try giving him Longifene Syrup. The dose is 5ml of the syrup half an hour before lunch and supper.

Hi

I saw this post and would just like to know if the syrup can be administered a 30 month old as well.

Many thanks
