Q.

Pls advice

Hi doctor, my son is now 5 months old, he suffers from flatulance, really bad. He has since birth. It is obviously very painfull for him, it is also disrupting his sleep and sometime he wont drink at all because of this. He get probiflora at night. Would he benefit from taking a digestive enzyme?? I dont know what to do anymore. He also suffers from recurring yeast infections on his skin and nappy area. I use an antifungal cream with aqua cream but it is taking forever to clear up.

It seems that your baby is either lactose intolerant or has a problem with cow's milk allergy. It would be a good idea to try a soya formula such as Isomil1 and see if your baby improves. Continue to use the Probiflora.
