Please Please Please Advice

Hi Doc

I am beside my self. My LG who is 8 months old, has been waking up at least 10 times a night for the last week, and last night i was literally up with her the whole night! Last week she had a fever - about 39.1 - i took her to her paed and he checked everything and said it was probably viral, as everything was ok. But she is still wakng up all the time - normally she would settle with a dummy, but not now. She cries, wants to be held!! I thihnk she may be teeting, but her gums aren' t swollen and i can' t see anything.

I really don' t know what to do? Should i take her back to the paed? She is fine during the day - a little bit miserable, but ok. She is eating and drinking.

Thank you

There must be a reason for your daughter's high fever. The 3 most likely possibilities are: an ear infection or a urinary sytem infection or she is developing a viral illness especially one called Roseola [baby measles]. Please take her back to be checked again by the paediatrician.
