Please help with reflux!

My LO is only 3 weeks old and suffers with reflux. He brings up most of his bottle and is then hungry in an hours time again. He battles bringing up his winds, so he doesnt sleep much either. I had him on nestargel, it made his tummy run, but worked with the reflux..for a week, now he is on NAN A.R, it also worked for a week and he is now bringing up as before. Will Dr. Browns bottles make a difference? Any advice is welcome! Please help.

It is unusual for such a young baby to have such severe reflux. He certainly needs to be seen by a paediatrician as he has not responded to 2 of the simple approaches to treating reflux namely the Nestargel and NAN AR.

You won' t believe me, but try some plain old cream soda. You can give him a table spoon full in clean bottle. It helps for the burbs and gets rid of gas.

Also, try lactogen milk, work the best for me, I too had a colic baby which had ALOT a tummy problems.

Good luck.

My son had the same problem up until 8 months. What worked for me was NAN AR and some sort of " pill"  that the paediatrician prescribed. We had to crush the pill and dissolve it in a little bit of water, twice daily. And it worked to keep him up right as much as possible. Even him sleeping on your chest, while you sitting in a chair. (Up right position) He was awake every two hours to drink, because everthing came out. It is not easy, I know. Good luck and take one day at a time.
