Q.

please help with 2 year old

I have a almost 2 year old girl. We had her adenoids removed when she was 8 months old. But for the last 4 months her nose is very blocked. She is not sick and it is not runny. I have been to doctors but nothing seem to be helping. She also has pimple like rash on her arm, face and upper legs. I dont know if these are related. I used to give her zetec for along time thinking it was allergies, but this did not help either. I need urgent advice as i dont know what to do anymore. I have made an appointment with a dermotologist as a last resort. The problem with her nose is really getting to me.

It is difficult to be sure about the diagnosis without being able to examine your little girl, but she appears to have eczema. She probably has an allergic nose condition as well. It would be best if your daughter was seen by a paediatrician with an interest in paediatric allergy. There are experts in all the main centres in SA.
