Q.

Please Explain

Recently when our baby was seen by the Paed, he commented that his foreskin was short and 'we' would need to monitor it. He went on to suggest a scan of baby's kidneys which will be done at the next appointment. What is it about the short foreskin that needs to be monitored? Our baby is Downs, does this have something to do with it or is this coincidental?

This is a co-incidental finding and there really should be no need for concern. It is not a sign that your baby needs to have any special tests.
