Phlem on chest after dairy

My son is 1 year old and we are have a problem with phlem on his chest, The doctor has put him on a asthma pump to see if this would help. It seems the phlem is owrse after he has had any diary, this has only recently started as he has been on cow' s mils for a while, because of all the phlem i have now put him on soy milk and that seems to help a bit. Could he be lactose intolerant or allergic to diary and how do i determine this.

Your doctor can arrange for a test called the RAST test to be done to test for cow's milk allergy. It does sound as if your baby his allergic to cow's milk and dairy products. This is not a lactose intolerance problem.

Hi Ladies!
I know the feeling on this one! My son is now on rice milk and is not allowed any form of dairy! Its hard - but it has really worked well and his nose and chest is much better now! Woolworths have a nice rice milk and it is not exp!
Hope this helps!

My son has been on cows mill since about 9 months but it never once gave him this problem this only started recently. We have him on soy milk now which he does not really like but it helps him alot.

Hi Sons
I have exactly the same problem with my 11 month old. How long has your little one been on cows milk? I want to put my little one on soya milk, but worried that it might be too early to take him off the formula.
