phlegmy chest and teething

Hi Doc,
My 4-month old baby boy had a slight fever and was very fussy on Friday night and Saturday, but improved by Sunday. Although it sounds like he has phlegm on his chest he does not have difficulty breathing. Furthermore, his hands are continually in his mouth and he is drooling excessively. Do you think he may be teething already? I use Iliadin and Sterimar for his nose and rub his chest, feet and behind his ears with Puma balm. What else can I do to treat the phlegmy chest? The pharmacist recommended Mucospect, but it is recommended for kiddies over 2 years. I am giving him 1ml of Crecheguard per day. He is on formula.
Looking forward to your advice.
Kind regards,

Your baby is definitely teething. He also appears to have a cold and he probably has a mild viral chest infection. You say that he is not distressed and does not have difficulty in breathing so keep on with the Sterimar but do not use Iliadin nose drops in such a young baby.He will get better by himself.
