Q.

phlegm

Hi there,

My 19 month old daughter is struggling with a phlegmy chest, so much so that she wakes up coughing and then vomits. We have tried the humidifier and all the meds recommended by GP. However, they do not seem to be working, I feel so sorry for her at night. I am also suffering from bad post nasal drip, I am 11 weeks pregnant as seems to be a commom pregnancy side effect.

Thanks,

Your daughter probably also has a post nasal drip now. Try to clear her nose by using Salex nose drops twice daily. Also give her Mucospect twice a day to try to loosen the mucous so she can clear her chest. Giving her a probiotic now will boost her immunity and help her to get over this illness quicker.
