Phelgm in 14 month old baby

Hi Doc, its me again.
My son 14 months has gotten worse. I have changed him back to NAN HA (which he has always been on) after trying the Normal 1 year NAN. I spray saline in his nose, which sometimes loosens the mucus, which I suck out. I have got him on Drinasal and Demazin. He is so phelgm now. You can hear that is is sore when he coughs, he coughs up the phelgm as I can hear it and see him moving his mouth. I have the cold humidifier on in the room. He had a slight fever last night so I gave him a Empaped, which helped. He cried a lot and wants to be in your arms the whole time. This has been going on for about a week now. I have him at creche. Please can you give me advise..... Thanx..

Your son has a viral illness affecting his chest called bronchiolitis. This is caused by the RSV virus which is very catchy especially to young children. Your son sounds as if he should be seen by his doctor as the treatment you have tried is not helping him all that much.
