Q.

PCV

My baby has had the PCV(Prevenar) vaccine at 6 and 14 weeks and will have it again at 9 months ( as per government immunisation schedule). At my last visit with Paediatrician , he wanted my baby to have another prevenar by the end of October (baby has just turned 5 months) - he never gave a proper reason however he did say my baby had some stiffness with the lower limbs but i put it down to the fact that my baby was crying and very crabby at the time of examination and i had not noticed this before with baby as he is always lifting and kicking his legs and when on tummy , baby kicks legs as if trying to crawl. I am not happy about giving him another Prevenar. Please advise.

Your baby should have had 3 Prevenar immunisations at 6, 10 and 14 weeks. His next Prevenar is due at 12 months.
