Q.

Passing gas

Hi, my two and a half month old baby''s gas smells very bad! I''m breastfeeding even if he has reflux and he''s on Nexiam. Does his stomach ache or does the medication cause windyness?

Also, should I stop breastfeeding because I really DON''T want to, but I do give him AR milk from time to time!

Regards

It is likely that your baby's winds that smell bad have something to do with him being on Nexiam. Do not stop breastfeeding. There does not appear to be a good reason for giving your baby any AR formula in addition to the Nexiam. Giving him a good probiotic such as Reuterina infant drops 5 drops daily for 10 days per months should help to reduce the problem with his winds.
