Parmalat First Growth Milk

Good day Doc,

My son was on S26 Gold and when he turned one we switched to normal cows milk and then to Parmalat first growth milk.

Is this sufficient for his growth?

He is way below his expected growth curve. At 13 months, he weighs 7.9kgs.

Thank you.

The average weight for a baby boy of 13 months is 10kg. Your baby's weight is well below this average. His weight is on the lowest 2% line of the infant weight chart. The Parmalat First Growth milk alone is not going to be the answer to your baby's weight problem. It would be best to ask your paediatrician to see him regarding his low weight. If the paediatrician finds that your son is in good health the next step would be to work with a baby clinic nurse or a dietician who are experienced with infant growth and weight problems.
