Q.

PARACETAMOL DOSAGE

I read in a popular baby/toddler magazine recently that the correct paracetamol dosage is 2,5ml per 6kg bodyweight. Does this mean that my 3 year old (15kg) should be given 7,5ml? The dosage on the packaging indicates 2,5ml - 5ml for her age. The paracetamol content is 120mg. I am confused? Do I listen to the magazine or the manufacturer? I have heard a doctor say that we tend to underdose our kids when using paracetamol.

I suggest that you follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
