Q.

Painful Rectm

Hi Dr. My child is 3 and a hlaf years old and when she goes to the loo to poo she says is makes her bum very sore.
Can she get piles at this age. What can i give her for this pain?
Can i give her movicol or anything for added fibre?

You can certainly try to give your daughter a stool softener such as Duphalac. The dose is 5ml twice daily. You should give the Duphalac for at least 14 days.
