Pain in the Tummy

My 3year old son has been complaining of " pain"  in the tummy for about 2 weeks now. This is sometimes accompanied by a fever. He still eats well but has recently been asking for a lot more to drink (water and watered down Purity toddler Juice). His appetite deteriorated in the past 2 days and he vomitted on Sunday evening. He generally has corn flakes with milk for breakfast, a sandwich or yoghurt for a snack and brown rice with chicken/mince, etc. for supper. He was previously diagnosed as lactose intolerant and also has eczema. Please help with some professional insight.

Your child appears to be ill. He gives a clear story of having tummy pain and has had a fever. He is also drinking lots of water. The two main possibilities are a urinary system infection or possible diabetes. He must be seen by a doctor.

Hi Khaya

PLease get this checked asap.My lo was complaingn the whole 3 weeks of tummyache and kept on giving him buscopan and buying medicine over the counter, the last straw was my lo wasno longer eating cos he was afraid of puking, and by the time we rushed him to the hospital the child was severly dehydrated and was put under drip and kept at the hospital for 3 three days, it was hell for both of us. So get him checked by the paediatrician not a GP..
