Q.

Pain in legs

My son is nearly 3 and a half years old. He is not very steady on his feet and falls down on a dayly basis. A week or so ago he started to complain about pain in his legs and also after he was lying in bed and stood up he complains that he cannot walk due to the pain. We as parents are very concern about this situation. Please assist and advice. Thank You!

I think that you should take a good deal of notice when a 3 year old is so clear about the pains in his legs. This is not the very common complaint known as 'growing pains'He may need to be seen by an orthopaedic specialist, but it would probably be best to take him to be seen by your paediatrician first.
