Q.

PAIN BEHIND EYES

Goodmorning

My son is 12 years old and is complaining for some time now that he gets pains behind his eyes, he does not have headaches. I took him for eye test''s and they said everything is fine. He gets the pains when he reads, walks, play sports does not matter what he does.

What could be the problem?

Paediatrician

The most common reason for this kind of complaint is due to eye strain. Your son's eyesight has been tested and is normal. His complaint is very localised and he does not have headaches. As his complaint has been going on for some time and can occur when he reads or while he is active it would really be best for him to be seen and tested by a paediatrician. It may be best to take him to see a paediatric neurologist so that a definite diagnosis can be made.
