Q.

Paediatrician and GP

Dear Doc

Up until what age should a child be seen by a Paediatrician? When does a Paediatrician expect a parent to start taking a child to a GP?

Regards
Stel

Paediatrician

Your GP is your family doctor. It is not necessary to take your child to a paediatrician unless your child has a problem which the GP feels he/she is not able to manage or treat.Paediatricians usually see children until they are about 16 years old.
