This sounds like thrush. The question is really why does a girl of 5 years have such severe thrush?Thrush in the mouth is common in babies but not in children of 5 years. It is important that your daughter has her immune status tested. In the meantime ask your pharmacist for Nystatin Oral solution and put 1ml of this solution in your daughter's mouth 4 times a day for 5 days. Also give her a probiotic such as Probiflora Children's once daily for at least 10 days.
