Q.

One year old not crawling

My one year old is ' leopard crawling'  and not crawling properly on all fours. He does not pull himself up against furniture either. He has never had an ear infection. My husband likes to throw baby up into the air and then catch him (which baby loves). Is this not maybe causing the problems?

This is very common. Many babies skip crawling altogether and then start walking right when they should do so.The average age for babies to start walking is 13 months, but many children start later, even up to 17 months.

Both my boys never crawled, they just pulled themselves up and tried to walk. They were about 14 months old.

They both also started talking very late. They never even tried the baby talk mutterings,

They are now 9 and 10 and are strong sporty boys who win awards for public speaking at school.

Don' t worry some kids just take their time.
