Q.

Once again Little boy is sick but

Ok my little one was sick with ear infection almost 3 weeks ago had him at the Paediatrician and he gave me some stuff to give him, he recoverd 100%, this was 2 weeks ago i kept him out of the crech and only took him back this monday, all was fine until wednesday night or should i say Thursday morning 01:00 he started to vomit and this was every 1/2 hour then it turned into a hour and when i dropped him at his gran at 07:00 he only vomited once. all was then well for the whole day and we wonderd if perhaps he ate something that did not work with him.

Only thing i could think of was the milk he drank as the vomit was very sour. he didnt want to eat so we gave him allot of stuff to drink he went back to his gran this friday and all was fine he looked much better and started to eat small amount of food.

This morning when he woke up he was smiling and playing the whole day not wanting to eat allot he had a small peace of meat this morning and some bread. now about an 1/2 hour ago 20:30 he came to the room to say goodnight and the vomit started again.
the only thing i know that he had was some smarties and tropica cooldrink. I am really getting tired of him getting sick all the time what can i do as this strange behavior is really a big puzzel Doc your help is greatly appreciated.

If you follow this forum you will read about many examples of young children who attend a creche and have one illness after another. This is called the 'creche syndrome' and reflects the problem of children infecting one another at the creche especially during the winter months. When children vomit more than once and have other signs that they are ill such as not wanting to eat, there are many possible causes ranging from tonsillitis to gastro-enteritis to meningitis. If vomiting persists as it has in your son's case, it is important for him to be seen by a doctor.

HI Doc

Thanks allot for the feedback, well we where extremely lucky he stopped vomiting after i posted this message.

He had a restless night with a persistant cough, and when he woke up he seemd ok but not 100%, he still has the cough today and seems fine.

He has an appointment with the Paediatrician tomorrow afternoon this is part of the checkup after the last visist 2 weeks ago. i hope that we can get some closeure on this matter.

I can if needed keep him at his Gran instead of sending him to the crech do you think that this is a good idea and for how long if needed should i keep him from going.

Thanks allot
