Nose discharge

HI Prof,
My 3 yr old little girl''s nose started running - clear discharge but is getting worse and worse and she is coughing at night now. It doesnt sound like a very wet cough yet, more like when you have something in your throat which is irritating it. I presume that means there is a post nasal drip which I am worried is going to go to her chest. THis morning the mucous was bright canary yellow.
I have been cleaning her nose with saline (spray and blow) and sprayed Illiadin last night to keep her nose open for the night and then this morning. I also have been giving her acc200 for the last two days. She is on a daily dose of deselex 2ml which i give in the evening. I gave it in the morning as well the weekend. We have those horrible which white ball thingies ffrom the flowers floating around which i am so convinced is making allergies worse.
My questsion is now that the mucous is yellow - does that mean sinus infection - should i take her to her her paed? Sorry for the long winded story..

Actually you have given a very good story. At first I thought that your little girl's symptoms were due to an allergy, but it seems more likely that she now has an upper respiratory infection. You are using the correct treatment and she should get better by herself. She probably has a cold and as you know colds are caused by a virus infection. Antibiotics will not help.So rather try to treat her yourself.
