Q.

Nose bleeds

My 2 year old is getting nose bleeds once or twice a week while sleeping at night. I sometimes only notice it when it dried on his face already. He is not crabby or anything. What can cause this? Should we get his head scanned. This is freaking me out.

Please don't freak out, but it is very unusual for a 2 year old to have nose bleeds. It is possible that the mucous membrane lining his nose is becoming dry when he sleeps. Do you live in a place with a very dry climate? There are other causes of nose bleeds in young children. It would be best to take your son to see your doctor about his nose bleeds.Make sure that your doctor does a full blood count test on your son.
