Q.

Nose bleed

Hi Doc,
My 3.5 yr old has experienced his 2nd nosebleed in 2 months. Altho this was kindof of normal when I was growing up, I do feel concerned. It has been very hot lately.
Yesterday he had periods of nosebleed throughout the day. I would let him lie down and put a wet facetowel on his neck and forehead.
Last night he had a fever, but was fine in the morning.
Should I be concerned or should I continue treating him with the wet facetowel whenever this happens?

Young children should not have nose bleeds. Please ask your doctor to see him and also to check his blood count to make sure that this is normal. If your doctor thinks it is necesasary your son may have to be seen by an ENT specialist
