No sleep

My son is now 2years and 3 months old. Since birth he has only slept through a handful of times.

He generally cries and moans and dreams while he is sleeping and the only thing that calms him is his bottle. The other night he slept right through the night with no problems at all. This is the first time in ages. He had grommets when he turned 1.
When he is moaning in his sleep, he rubs his ears or scratches / rubshis arms and head.

What could the problem be for him not sleeping at night?
I am at my wits end with him.

It is difficult to answer your question without being able to see your son. He may simply be a child who is intolerant of heat and needs to wear cotton clothing and must not be too warmly covered in his bed at night. His room must be kept cool and well ventilated.Another possibility is that he may still be having acid reflux as he is very restless and moans when sleeping. Try giving him Gaviscon liquid 2.5ml at night and see if this helps him. If it does he may need to have more effective tratment for reflux. A third possibility is that he has dry skin.If he does have dry skin bath him using Epizone E as soap and then apply Epimax cream all over him after the bath.
