Night Terrors

Good morning, and happy new year!!!

My 2 and a half year old has been having night terrors for about a week now!
It started when we came back from holiday....
She would either climb into bed with us, or just start screaming?!
If she screms, she sits upright in bed and seem completely out of it....
I just hold her and tell her we are there...

Any ideas what causes it?
How long it lasts?
And what can I do to make it stop?

Thank you so much!!

Thank you and the same Good Wishes to you. Please see my reply to Liezle today.Night terrors are very common in this age group and especially can be brought on when a child is taken on holiday or when moving homes. It does not usually last for too long. The main thing you need to do is to reassure your little daughter when she wakes up with the night terrors. Use a nightlight in her room for a while.
