Q.

Night feedings

My baby turned one this week. He still wakes up at night (in the early morning hours) demanding a bottle. He would scream hysterically until I give him a bottle. And he seems hungry, it does not seem to be a habit.

All the baby books say only a bottle in the morning and one at night. My baby drinks these 2 bottles, and one at creche with breakfast, and another late afternoon for his nap. And then one during the night = 5 bottles.

Is this okay? How do I get him off this? He is a bigger baby than other babies his age...

Your baby is still young and at this age many babies still want their night feed.It will help to change him to a growth formula such as Nido as he should feel less hungry. You will then be able to give him 3 bottles very day instead of 5. Give him one bottle of another liquid such as water or diluted fruit juice or rooibos during the day.
