Q.

Newborn bloodshot Eyes

Hi

My daughter is 7 days old. She was born witjh bloodshots in her eyes. Her one pupil is encircled with this bloodshot. It was a normal and very quick delivery. She doesnt have any discomfort. I was just wondering of there is any concern about it and how long will it stay like that?

Thanks

Your little baby's bloodshot eyes may be the result of her very rapid delivery. I presume that she does not have any bleeding or bruising anywhere else on her body. Please ask your paediatrician to see your baby if the bloodshot appearance of her eyes remains after one more week.
